Health is your right

3rd International Human Rights Documentary film Festival One World Bulgaria will be held from the 4th to the 10th of October 2010 in Sofia, and also will have screenings in Plovdiv and Burgas in November. The third edition of the festival concerns themes of the present day as the world ecological and spiritual crisis, the right of ordinary relations between people. The festival positions in the centre the person himself, but not his rights according to documents and resolutions. Human, - his health and his right for information are the themes of One World Film Festival this year.
After the successful second edition of the festival last year, from 4th to 10th of October 2010 we will forget all the delusions about our life and we will look for alternatives about raising the quality of our existence through the documentary movies and the ongoing events of the festival.
One of the main rights of the human for normal and quality life is his right for health. Finally this was recognized by the human rights specialists in the world, it was published in 2009 bulletin №8 of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee: http://www.bghelsinki.org/bulletin/2009-8/pravoto-na-zdrave-e-syshto-pravo-na-choveka.
As every year we are showing quality documentary movies, which are international prize winners. On the occasion of the year of the Bulgarian cinema we have prepared special selection of 15 Bulgarian documentary movies about human rights in the programme "The Recovering Of The Bulgarian Documentary Cinema"
With the third edition of the festival "ONE WORLD" we move our focus from the problems with the medicines' prices, incompetent doctors, precious operations and failing of the health insurance fund to practical information how every person could help his body, cure himself and stop getting ill.
Nor the legislation, nor social help, protests or money helped for resolving the problems of the Bulgarians with their rights to have an ordinary health care. Signing of charters or resolutions, talking and participating in Facebook causes and groups doesn't help at all. It is time to change the model of healthcare and to be activated the inner powers of the Bulgarian population, poisoned by reality shows, food of poor quality and turbo folk. How this could happen you can understand from the screenings of the festival and various ongoing events as "The „Disproof” – informational campaign about health and happiness, festival of all involved in the sector health and personal growth in Bulgaria, discussions with skilled people in the sphere of healthcare and personal development as the founders of Health Centre "Dar" which was created 17 years ago - Aleksei Skvortsov and Lazarina Dimitrova, doctor Yasencheva - iris diagnostics practitioner, combining classical medical education with methods of naturopathy.
"One world" shows us the world as it is. This is the festival, which does not put make up to the actors, because they are real people, the festival which does not judge, because the people in the audience will make their own conclusions, the festival which is screening with no compromise and only the films with a character.
